I’m Priscilla A. Prado, the founder of Midwest Bookkeeping & Tax Solutions (MBTS) — but more importantly, I’m a woman who turned life’s challenges into purpose.

With over 22 years of experience in accounting and financial services, I launched MBTS in 2019 to give everyday people — small business owners, families, and dreamers — the tools to take control of their finances with confidence and clarity. What started as a passion to serve my community from my kitchen table has grown into a trusted firm that proudly supports hundreds across Milwaukee and beyond.

As a mother of four, small business owner, and two-time heart attack and triple bypass survivor, I understand hustle, resilience, and starting over. I know what it feels like to carry the weight of a dream and the pressure to get it right — especially when no one’s handing you a playbook.

Before starting MBTS, I served in various industries — from nonprofits and law firms to churches and corporations — managing the numbers behind the scenes so others could focus on their mission. I also served as Treasurer for the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce, and today I have the honor of serving as the State Representative for Wisconsin’s 9th Assembly District, fighting for the very communities I was born to serve.
